Hi Matt and Arthur,

WordPress indeed is a powerful content management system. Aside from the fact that it is a powerful CMS, government agencies might have chosen it because it is undeniably very easy to use and understand. The complexity of the features it offers is totally opposite on how WordPress users perceive it.

You got your point Matthew. It's commonly used in blogging without even realizing how powerful CMS it is.

WordPress is actually a great content management system, with the ability to have distributed authoring, create web pages and classify information -- its just that its generally used as a blogging tool, rather than a CMS

It is really surprising to learn that they are using WordPress. Do they already have blogs? Do you have their web addresses? Just wondering what's their purpose of building blogs.

Wow, this is surprising to me. Wordpress is definitely a pioneer in the world of blogging. I never would have guessed government agencies would have a need for blogs. The slogans suggested by the one reader are a really good idea. Wordpress deserves the bragging rights.
